14-Year-Old Girl Arrested for Driving Without License and Carrying Six Minors in Israel

Youth investigators from the Masubim police station launched an investigation after a video circulated on social media showing a 14-year-old girl driving a car. Following swift investigative actions, police located and arrested the minor for questioning. The inquiry revealed that on June 5, 2026, on two separate occasions during the night and early morning, the girl took her mother's car keys without permission and drove through the streets of Or Yehuda with a friend seated beside her. During the drive, she picked up five additional minors, resulting in seven passengers in total, despite the rear seat being designed for only three.

After concluding the investigation, the Tel Aviv District Police Youth Prosecution Unit filed charges against the girl for driving without ever having obtained a license, unauthorized use of a vehicle, abandoning the car in an unauthorized location, driving without insurance, reckless driving, and carrying more passengers than permitted by the vehicle's license. A request was also submitted to keep her in custody until the legal proceedings are completed.
