Police Arrest 14-Year-Old Driver After Chase in Beersheba
A 14-year-old boy was arrested on Thursday by Beersheba police following a vehicle chase. During a routine operation, officers spotted a suspicious car and requested the driver to stop for a standard check. It was discovered that the driver was a minor with no driving license, accompanied by two other minors who claimed they had ordered the ride through the Get app. The driver ignored police orders and attempted to flee, prompting a pursuit that ended with the vehicle's arrest. The driver was taken in for questioning at the Beersheba station, and the car was impounded for 30 days.
Beersheba Police Station Commander Superintendent Kfir Solomon stated that the officers' swift, professional, and determined response prevented potentially dangerous driving that could have resulted in harm. He emphasized the ongoing commitment to act decisively against those who disregard police instructions and endanger public safety, while maintaining uncompromising road user security.
