Northern Israel Couple Charged with Running Prostitution Ring Recruiting Women via TikTok
A couple from northern Israel has been indicted for operating a prostitution network for over three years, according to a criminal complaint filed on July 7, 2026. The suspects, Rotem Garon from Kiryat Motzkin and Sharon Marziano from Haifa, allegedly recruited women facing economic and psychological distress, including through TikTok. The indictment details how the couple coerced these women into servicing between 10 to 20 clients daily in apartments located in Kiryat Motzkin, Kiryat Haim, and Haifa.
The complaint describes a system of control involving financial management and threats to prevent the women from quitting. Clients were charged between 350 and 2,000 shekels per session, with higher fees for special or off-site meetings. Most of the earnings, totaling at least 1.8 million shekels, were kept by the accused, while the women received only a few hundred shekels per encounter. Payments were made via the Bit app, bank transfers, or cash, all managed by the suspects.
In addition to charges related to prostitution, the couple faces allegations of tax offenses and money laundering. The prosecution has requested the seizure of funds, bank accounts, and a Mercedes vehicle confiscated during the investigation. The indictment was submitted after a covert investigation lasting over a year by the Haifa district police. The court permitted the publication of the indictment details and suspects' photos but withheld the complainants' identities. The accused are represented by attorney Tomer Naveh.
