Northern Israel Couple Charged With Running TikTok-Recruited Prostitution Ring for Over Three Years

A couple from northern Israel has been indicted for operating a prostitution network for more than three years, according to charges filed on July 7, 2026. The pair, Rotem Garon from Kiryat Motzkin and Sharon Marciano from Haifa, allegedly recruited women facing economic and psychological distress, including through TikTok, and forced them to serve between 10 and 20 clients daily. The network operated in apartments across Kiryat Motzkin, Kiryat Haim, and Haifa.

The indictment details how the couple gained the women's trust, coerced them into prostitution, and threatened them if they attempted to stop. Clients were directed to the women at the brothels, paying fees ranging from 350 to 2,000 shekels depending on the service and duration, with higher prices for special or off-site meetings. Most of the earnings, at least 1.8 million shekels, were retained by the accused, while the women received only a few hundred shekels per encounter.

Payments were made via the Bit app, bank transfers, or cash, all managed by the couple. Due to the substantial income, the suspects also face charges of tax offenses and money laundering. The prosecution has requested the seizure of funds, bank accounts, and a Mercedes vehicle confiscated during the investigation.

The investigation was conducted covertly over more than a year by the Haifa District Police. The court permitted the publication of the indictment details and photos of the accused, excluding the complainants' identities. The suspects are represented by attorney Tomer Naveh, who has not commented on the charges.
