Israeli Police Arrest Four for Extorting Northern Local Council and Sewage Facilities

Israeli authorities arrested four men in their 30s and 40s following a covert investigation by Lahav 433, the Border Police, and the Tax Authority. The suspects are accused of extorting protection money and threatening a local council in northern Israel, as well as sewage treatment facilities. In addition to extortion, the suspects allegedly committed tax offenses and money laundering.

During raids on their homes and businesses in northern and southern Israel, police seized three luxury vehicles, Rolex watches valued at 300,000 shekels, checks, and invoices. The police intend to request an extension of the suspects' detention from the Tiberias Magistrate's Court as the investigation continues.
