Veteran Midfielder Dor Micha Joins M.S. Ashdod in Second Division
After concluding his tenure with Beitar Jerusalem at the end of the 2025/2026 season, 34-year-old midfielder Dor Micha has signed a two-year contract with M.S. Ashdod. This move marks Micha's first time playing in Israel's Liga Leumit, the second tier of Israeli football, as Ashdod was recently relegated from the Premier League.
Micha, who previously played for top Israeli clubs including Maccabi Tel Aviv, Hapoel Be'er Sheva, and most recently Beitar Jerusalem, left Beitar after failing to reach an agreement on his future. Since joining Beitar in 2023, he made 105 appearances, scored six goals, and provided 20 assists.
Joining M.S. Ashdod, Micha aims to leverage his experience to help the port city club regain its place in the Israeli Premier League. His signing is considered a significant acquisition for Ashdod as they prepare for the upcoming Liga Leumit season.
