Maccabi Netanya Offers Dylan Batubinsika Major Contract to Boost Defense
Maccabi Netanya is making a significant move to strengthen its defense ahead of the upcoming season by offering a substantial contract to Dylan Batubinsika, a former Maccabi Haifa defender. Batubinsika, who was part of the Democratic Republic of Congo's squad for the 2026 World Cup (though he did not play), has attracted interest from the Israeli club, which has proposed a deal worth approximately 250,000 euros for one season. If he accepts, Batubinsika would become the highest-paid player on the team.
Earlier in the summer, Hapoel Petah Tikva also submitted an offer to the player. Batubinsika previously played for Maccabi Haifa during the 2022/23 season on loan before moving to Saint-Étienne in the summer of 2023. In January, he transferred on a free to Larissa in Greece, where he became a regular starter. His contract with Larissa ended earlier this summer, making him a free agent eligible to sign with any club.
Netanya's pursuit of Batubinsika reflects their ambition to solidify their defensive lineup by acquiring an experienced international player familiar with Israeli football and European leagues.
