Popular Hedar Vanilla Petit Beurre Biscuits Recalled Over Unusual Odor
Epipetite Nazareth Biscuit Industries, the importer of Hedar brand vanilla-flavored Petit Beurre biscuits (500 grams), announced an expanded voluntary recall of the product due to an unusual odor detected by consumers. This update replaces a previous recall notice issued on February 3, 2026, following additional consumer complaints about an abnormal smell in another batch. Company testing revealed the odor originated from oxidation of one of the product's ingredients.
The recalled product details include the vanilla Petit Beurre biscuit, barcode 7290018790717, with production codes BATCH NO. SZ 32195 and NO. 26A BATCH, and expiration dates of November 25, 2026, and March 7, 2027. The manufacturer is Anmol Industries Ltd. from India, with Epipetite Nazareth Biscuit Industries Ltd. as the importer.
Consumers who possess biscuits from the specified batches are advised not to consume them. In coordination with the Northern District Food Service of the Ministry of Health, the company is collecting the affected products from distribution channels to prevent further consumption.
