Cristiano Ronaldo Sends Personal Message to Venezuelan Earthquake Survivor Child
Andres Miles, a 10-year-old boy from Venezuela who lost his parents and older brother in the recent devastating earthquakes, received a heartfelt surprise from football star Cristiano Ronaldo. After the earthquakes destroyed his home in La Guajira and led to the tragic death of his family members, Andres was rescued on June 24 and underwent surgery to amputate his right leg. While recovering in the hospital, Andres expressed a simple wish for a Cristiano Ronaldo sticker to complete his 2026 World Cup Panini album.
Instead of just a sticker, Ronaldo sent a personal video message to Andres, inviting him to watch one of his matches live once he feels better. In the video, Ronaldo said, "Hi Andres, how are you? I'm sending you a big hug. I know you're a big fan. When you feel better, I'd love to invite you to watch one of my games and just enjoy the match. Sounds good? I'd be happy to meet you. All the best, my friend."
The story reached Real Madrid officials, where Ronaldo played for nine seasons, prompting them to contact him. The footballer passed the video to Venezuelan musician Armando Poyo, who, along with renowned chef Jose Andres, visited Andres in the hospital on Friday to present the video and additional gifts. On Saturday, Poyo revealed on social media that Ronaldo also sent Andres a signed jersey, going beyond the initial video and invitation.
This gesture brought hope and joy to a young boy facing immense hardship after the natural disaster, highlighting the global solidarity and compassion inspired by Ronaldo's outreach.
