Cristiano Ronaldo Sends Personal Message to Venezuelan Earthquake Survivor Child
Andres Miles, a 10-year-old boy from Venezuela who lost his family and his right leg in recent earthquakes, received a heartfelt message from football star Cristiano Ronaldo. After being rescued from the rubble of his home in La Guaira, Andres was hospitalized following the amputation of his leg. While recovering, he expressed a simple wish to obtain a Cristiano Ronaldo sticker for his 2026 World Cup Panini album, which requires 980 stickers to complete.
The story reached Ronaldo through an official at Real Madrid, the club where Ronaldo previously played. At the time, Ronaldo was in Toronto following Portugal's victory over Croatia in the World Cup. He sent Andres a personal video message inviting him to watch one of his games once he feels better. In the video, Ronaldo said, "Hi Andres, how are you? I'm sending you a big hug. I know you're a huge fan. Once you feel better, I would like to invite you to watch one of my games and just enjoy the match. Sounds good?" He concluded with, "I would be happy to meet you. All the best, my friend."
The video and story were widely shared on social media, including by musician Armando Poyo, highlighting the touching connection between the football icon and the young survivor. This gesture has resonated deeply online, symbolizing hope and solidarity amid tragedy in Venezuela.
