Uncle of Haifa Shooting Victim Criticizes Police Handling of Violence
Attorney Sami Faisal, uncle of Wiam Faisal who was fatally shot in Haifa, told ynet that his nephew never indicated he was under threat. He emphasized that Wiam never received threatening calls, was not involved in criminal activities, and had no connections to crime families. Sami Faisal criticized the police response to violence, stating that law enforcement could do much more to reduce murders. He expressed concern about the prevalence of weapons among youth, saying, "Today you have to be cautious and afraid of every child; every 15- or 16-year-old has a weapon in hand. You leave the house not knowing if you will return."
