Inter Opens Negotiations to Sign Anan Khalaily From Union Saint-Gilloise

Anan Khalaily's future continues to attract attention in Italy as Inter Milan has officially begun negotiations with Union Saint-Gilloise to finalize the winger's transfer. Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported that the negotiation phase has started, aiming to reach an agreement between the clubs. Khalaily has already agreed in principle to a contract with Inter until 2031, reportedly earning around 1.8 million euros per season.

Despite progress, a gap remains over the transfer fee. Inter has offered 20 million euros, while Union Saint-Gilloise demands approximately 30 million euros, including 25 million euros as a base fee plus bonuses. The Belgian club previously rejected an 18 million euro offer from Napoli, signaling their high valuation of Khalaily. If the deal closes at the asking price, Maccabi Haifa stands to gain significantly, holding 15 percent of any future sale, potentially earning over 2.5 million euros.

Khalaily, 21, joined Union Saint-Gilloise in summer 2024 from Maccabi Haifa for about 7.5 million euros. He quickly established himself as a promising winger in Europe, helping his team win the Belgian league and qualify for the Champions League. His impressive performances attracted interest from several top clubs, with Napoli initially showing serious intent. Recently, Inter entered the race and officially confirmed their interest. Inter's sporting director, Piero Ausilio, acknowledged the club is monitoring Khalaily among at least five other players, stating, "I would be lying if I denied it."
