According to footage shared on social media under Section 27a, the police car followed the riders with flashing lights and sirens. At one point, the police stopped abruptly and an officer attempted a quick arrest by opening the car door, but the youths escaped by speeding away on the sidewalk. The pursuit continued through the busy streets of Bnei Brak, with the riders weaving between cars, buses, and pedestrians. Despite police efforts, the two managed to evade capture and flee the scene. It is believed their flight was not solely due to the traffic violation but possibly because they are considered deserters for not regularizing their military status, prompting fear of identification and arrest by police.
