First signing for 2026/27: Malik Hall joins Hapoel HaEmek

The forward who starred for Kiryat Ata before leaving because of the war will return to Israel.

Malik Hall excelled during the 2025/2026 season in the uniform of Ironi Kiryat Ata, until he left Israel because of the war with Iran. However, today (Thursday) Hapoel HaEmek announced that the forward, 2.00 meters tall and 25 years old, will return to Israel next season after signing with the club.

"We wanted Malik already last summer, and we are very happy that he is joining us," said Sharon Avrahami. "Hall fits the club's spirit in his talent, abilities and character, and he is a player with excellent personality and very high potential, who has proven that he can be a leading player in the league. This is our first signing this year and it is a good and significant one. We believe Malik will lead our club forward."

As a reminder, last season with Kiryat Ata Hall posted excellent averages of 15.8 points (58.0% from the field, 47.6% from three, 64.4% from the line), along with 9.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. Before that, he played in the 2024/2025 G League, in what was his first season after leaving Michigan State.
