Israeli Forces Arrest Terrorist After Attempted Vehicle Attack in Gush Etzion
Israeli security forces apprehended a terrorist on Thursday evening following an attempted vehicular attack near the Keren Farm adjacent to the settlement of Karmi Tzur in the Gush Etzion area. The assailant initially attacked a local resident before trying to run him over with a vehicle. No injuries were reported in the incident.
The suspect fled the scene but was captured after a two-hour manhunt in the area near the Judea Division's Masad crossing. According to the Israel Defense Forces and police, the attacker arrived at the farm in an Israeli vehicle, carried out the assault, and then attempted to escape by running over the resident.
Following the attack, IDF and Shin Bet forces, alongside the Judea and Samaria police district, launched extensive searches, collected evidence, and utilized intelligence efforts to locate the perpetrator. A joint statement from the IDF and the Ministry of Defense credited the arrest to coordinated efforts among the IDF, the Ministry of Defense's Crossing Authority security personnel, and other security agencies. The suspect was transferred for further investigation and security processing after his capture.
