Elliot Anderson Joins Manchester City in £116 Million Premier League Transfer

Manchester City has officially signed England midfielder Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for a reported fee of £116 million (approximately €135 million), marking one of the most expensive transfers in Premier League history. The 23-year-old, currently with the England national team in the United States, completed his medical examinations in Kansas and will finalize the move upon his return to England. This transfer ranks as the second-highest in the Premier League, behind Alexander Isak's €145 million move to Liverpool last summer.

Anderson joined Nottingham Forest two years ago from Newcastle United for £35 million. During his tenure, he made 92 appearances, scoring four goals and providing four assists, contributing significantly to Forest's Premier League survival and their run to the Europa League semifinals. Internationally, Anderson started for England in their 4-2 victory over Croatia and the 0-0 draw against Ghana at the World Cup. England currently leads their group and is set to face Panama in the final group stage match. Anderson is scheduled for additional medical tests on Monday in New York before fully joining Manchester City.
