Manchester City Signs England Midfielder Elliot Anderson in £116 Million Deal

Anderson signed a five-year contract with Manchester City, including an option for an additional year, with potential weekly wages reaching £300,000 if all bonuses are met.

This transfer surpasses the £115 million fee Real Madrid paid for Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund in 2023. Only Liverpool has spent more on a player recently, paying £125 million for Alexander Isak and £116.5 million for Florian Wirtz last summer. Manchester City expressed their support for Anderson and the England team during the World Cup campaign and look forward to welcoming him to the club.
