Shuafat School Clash: MK Sochot Tells Hamas-Linked Principal, 'We Will Shut You Down'

Sukot toured a school in Shuafat and confronted its principal, Hamza Kaysi, who is a member of an association of Hamas that financed the establishment of the educational institution.

Watch the confrontation between Tzvi Sukot and the school principal, a member of a Hamas association, Channel 7. The chairman of the Knesset Education Committee, MK Tzvi Sukot, went this morning, Thursday, on a tour of the "Nur al-Huda" school in Shuafat and confronted its principal, Hamza Kaysi, who is a member of the "Zakat al-Quds" association, which has been recognized by Israeli courts as belonging to Hamas and is in liquidation proceedings. The school principal evaded the difficult questions posed to him by Sukot and at one point went back into the building, slamming the door.

During the confrontation, Sukot told Kaysi, "As long as you are connected to the terrorist organization Hamas and other terrorist organizations, we will shut down your school. If you bring money from Hamas to a school in Jerusalem, you will not receive a single shekel from the state."

Later, the MK spoke with Channel 7 and added, "Hamza Kaysi is a director in a Hamas association and brought millions to his school from associations of the terrorist organization. Schools in the State of Israel that receive money from the state cannot be connected to Hamas. This must stop. This person cannot run a school in the State of Israel and lie to the Education Committee."
