Ohio Authorities Rescue 16 Children From Neglected Home in Appalling Conditions
In a small village in Ohio, United States, authorities rescued 16 children aged between 18 months and 18 years from a severely neglected home. The children were reportedly confined to a single room for much of the past four years, living in extremely unsanitary conditions surrounded by human feces and filth. The rescue took place in the village of Medan, located in Vinton County in southeastern Ohio. Following the discovery, police arrested the children's parents as well as their grandparents. Ohio Attorney General Andy Wilson described the scene as "pure evil" and stated it was among the worst cases he has encountered in his career.
