Shon Weissman has yet to decide whether to return to Israel after rejecting a lucrative offer from Dinamo Batumi and engaging in talks with Steaua Bucharest. The striker, whose potential move to Beitar Jerusalem was first reported by ynet, sent an initial message to coach Almog Cohen indicating that if he fails to secure a club abroad, he would like to hear Beitar's offer. Beitar Jerusalem has proposed a one-year contract worth 300,000 euros, while Weissman demands a two-year deal at 330,000 euros per season. This financial gap places owner Barak Abramov in a position to decide whether to take a professional and economic risk on a striker who has underperformed over the past two years, as the club prefers a one-year commitment.

Weissman is still exploring options, particularly in Austria, despite his recent relegation there last season, and the differences between the parties remain significant. For Beitar, signing a prominent Israeli striker like Weissman would allow the coaching staff to focus on recruiting a foreign midfielder without waiting on developments regarding Dan Glazer, who appears inclined to return to Maccabi Tel Aviv rather than stay with the Jerusalem club.
