13-Year-Old Severely Injured After Falling From Youth Activity Equipment in Carmel Region
A 13-year-old boy was seriously injured after falling from a wooden structure approximately two meters high during a youth movement activity in the Hof HaCarmel Regional Council area on Tuesday. Emergency medical teams provided initial treatment at the scene before transporting him by Magen David Adom (MDA) intensive care ambulance to Rambam Hospital in Haifa, where his condition was classified as severe.
Senior MDA paramedics Jorge Gafter, Yossi Azulai from the motorcycle unit, and paramedic Talia Sade reported arriving to find several frightened youths surrounding the injured boy, who was conscious but suffering from significant multi-system trauma. They administered on-site medical care prior to his urgent hospital transfer.
The incident highlights the risks involved in youth outdoor activities and the swift response by emergency services to provide critical care. The boy remains hospitalized at Rambam, with no further updates on his condition yet available.
