Israeli Importer Recalls Soul LED Floodlight Over Electric Shock and Fire Hazards
Y. Patia Lighting Import and Marketing Ltd. has issued an urgent recall for the Soul LED W10 daylight floodlight (barcode 6937215925047, model 8088), imported from Soti Limited, Suwal, China, and sold between July and December 2025. The recall follows safety tests conducted by the Standards Institution of Israel, which found the product fails to meet mandatory Israeli standards (SI 20 part 2 decimal 5 for floodlights) effective since November 2017.
The floodlight was marketed as "professional" and water-resistant but lacks proper protection ratings, making it unsafe for use in wet environments due to risk of electric shock. Additional hazards include electrical interference affecting nearby devices, an undersized power cable prone to overheating and insulation damage, and the risk of fire or shock upon contact. Broken glass from the lamp can also cause injury due to large sharp fragments.
Consumers are instructed to immediately stop using the floodlight and return it to the point of purchase for a full refund. Y. Patia Lighting Import and Marketing Ltd. provides contact details for inquiries and compensation claims. This recall is coordinated with the Israeli Ministry of Economy and Industry's Standards Authority to ensure public safety.
