Arson Suspected in Fire at Shopping Center in Rishon Lezion, Manager Claims Police Ignore Complaints

A fire broke out on Tuesday at the "Hashuk" commercial building in the Seven Stars Mall area of Rishon Lezion. Firefighters arrived promptly to find heavy smoke and flames inside the structure. They conducted searches for trapped individuals, rescuing several people and transferring them to medical teams. Two people were taken to Wolfson Hospital in light condition. Fire crews worked to extinguish the fire, prevent its spread to nearby businesses, ventilate the building, and continue searching for any additional trapped persons.

In an interview with Walla, David Shleski, the building manager, asserted that the fire was a deliberate act of arson. He also criticized the police for not responding to his previous complaints regarding the matter. The incident highlights ongoing safety concerns at the commercial site and raises questions about law enforcement's handling of such threats.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the fire and assess the damage, while emergency services remain vigilant to prevent further incidents in the area.
