IDF Spokesperson Issues Advance Notice of Major Exercise in Judea and South Mount Hebron
The IDF Spokesperson is updating residents of the Judea region and southern Mount Hebron this morning (Thursday) about a large-scale military exercise that began a short time ago in the area. According to the army's statement, the operational activity of the forces on the ground is expected to continue throughout the morning and end in the afternoon.
As part of the exercise, residents of the communities and drivers traveling on roads in the southern Mount Hebron area, which is under the regional responsibility of the Judea Brigade, will notice heavy and increased movement of security forces, soldiers and numerous military vehicles. There is no concern of a security incident. In addition to the physical movement of forces in the field, the IDF clarified and informed the public in advance that during the training hours, gunfire will be heard as well as loud explosions throughout the entire area, as part of simulating various operational scenarios.
The Central Command and the IDF Spokesperson are asking to reassure residents of the area and emphasize that this is entirely routine activity. The current exercise was planned in advance as an integral part of the army's annual training schedule and program for 2026, and is intended to maintain the readiness of the forces in the sector. If necessary and if real events develop, the public will receive separate updates, but for now there is no concern of a security incident in the area.
