Rabbanit Rachel Bazak Urges Unity to Protect Israeli Soldiers Amid Internal Divisions
Rabbanit Rachel Bazak, daughter of Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, released a video addressing the ongoing conflict and internal divisions within Israeli society. She posed the question of how to ensure that not a single soldier falls in battle, emphasizing the importance of unity and positive speech. Drawing a parallel to the days of King Ahab, she noted that despite widespread idolatry then, no soldiers were harmed because people refrained from speaking ill of one another.
Rabbanit Bazak warned against external forces that seek to sow discord among Israelis, stating that "forces outside the people of Israel," including enemies who fund agitators, are responsible for inflaming disputes. She called on all Israelis, regardless of background, to avoid negative speech and to maintain love and solidarity.
She stressed that while disagreements exist, they should be resolved peacefully to maintain national unity. According to her, this unity is the key to protecting Israeli soldiers indefinitely. The video was shared amid ongoing military operations in Lebanon, highlighting the need for internal cohesion during times of conflict.
