Lotan Amsalem and Nes Ziona Part Ways After Injury-Plagued Season
After a challenging season marked by injuries, forward Lotan Amsalem and the Nes Ziona basketball team have mutually agreed to part ways. Amsalem underwent two surgeries during the season, including one for a torn meniscus, which limited his playing time. Despite these setbacks, he insisted on playing after the war break to help the team secure its place in the Israeli Premier League. Currently, he is recovering from surgery performed about two weeks ago. Over the season, Amsalem averaged 14.6 minutes across 24 games, scoring 5 points and grabbing 3 rebounds per game. Nes Ziona had an option to extend his contract for another year but ultimately chose not to exercise it.
