El Al Extends Partnership With Israeli Paralympic Committee for 2028 Los Angeles Games

El Al Airlines and the Israeli Paralympic Committee have signed a new agreement to continue their collaboration for the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles. The signing ceremony took place at Ben Gurion Airport and was attended by El Al CEO Levi Halevi, Israeli Paralympic Committee Chairman Moshe Motalon, CEO of the Disabled Sports Association Nissim Sassportas, and representatives of the athletes. Under the agreement, El Al will remain the official carrier of the Israeli Paralympic delegation and will sponsor the athletes in the coming years.

Following the ceremony, El Al unveiled a special decal on one of its Dreamliner aircraft, bearing the message "Good luck to the Israeli delegation at the 2028 Paralympic Games." Levi Halevi expressed pride in the ongoing partnership, recalling El Al's role as the official carrier during the previous Paralympic Games in Paris, where the Israeli team achieved outstanding results. He emphasized the importance of sports as a force for rehabilitation and growth in Israel and pledged El Al's continued support both on the ground and in the air.

Moshe Motalon highlighted the long-standing and value-driven partnership between El Al and the Paralympic Committee, expressing gratitude on behalf of the athletes, coaches, and the entire Paralympic family. He promised that the delegation will continue to represent Israel with honor and pride on the international stage leading up to the 2028 Games.

Athletes present at the event included Leah Ben David, captain of the women's goalball team and silver medalist in Paris; wheelchair tennis player Maayan Zikri, ranked 19th globally; kayaker Talia Eilat, bronze medalist at the 2023 and 2024 European Championships; badminton player Roni Kastan, former national squash champion and rising Paralympic medalist; table tennis player Yehonatan Levi, recent silver medalist in Spain; and taekwondo fighter Omer Barel, who recovered from injuries sustained in the Iron Swords war and previously was an Israeli judo champion.

This renewed partnership underscores El Al's commitment to supporting Israeli Paralympic athletes as they prepare for the upcoming international competitions and the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.
