IDF and Shin Bet Eliminate Hamas Military Security Chief in Rafah Brigade
Last week, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security service killed Ismail Masri, the military security chief of Hamas's Rafah Brigade. Masri was a senior figure within Hamas's organizational structure in the Rafah area and was responsible for advancing operations aimed at restricting the IDF's freedom of action in the Gaza Strip. During the ongoing conflict, Masri oversaw security and counterintelligence efforts within the Rafah Brigade and worked on rebuilding and strengthening Hamas's military security capabilities to target Israeli forces. The IDF's Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area according to existing agreements and will continue to act to neutralize any immediate threats.
