Father of Israeli Hostage Survivor Strongly Criticizes Finance Minister Smotrich's Comments

Danny Miran, father of Israeli hostage survivor Omri Miran, sharply criticized Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich on Monday for his recent remarks claiming credit for the release of all hostages. In a radio interview, Smotrich asserted that the hostages returned to Israel were freed thanks to his insistence on negotiations with Hamas, which he said would have otherwise continued indefinitely under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Responding to these claims, Danny Miran accused Smotrich of lacking compassion and understanding, saying, "He has no heart. He is mentally insensitive." Miran further disparaged Smotrich's statements as thoughtless and questioned his character, stating, "He is the father of insensitivity, simply heartless and mentally dull."

Despite the political dispute, Miran shared a personal update on his son Omri's condition following his captivity. He described seeing Omri playing joyfully with his daughters, expressing relief and hope for his son's recovery and the rebuilding of their family life. Miran emphasized the ongoing need for rehabilitation and family support after the ordeal.
