Two Cousins Charged with Smuggling 45 Kg of Drugs via Drone from Egypt

Israeli prosecutors have filed charges against two cousins, aged 16 and a half and 20, residents of the Al-Azazmeh diaspora, for smuggling approximately 45 kilograms of drugs using a drone that crossed from Egypt. The drone was reportedly detected crossing the border multiple times, prompting authorities to monitor the suspects closely. A pursuit ensued after the suspects attempted to flee in a vehicle, followed by a brief foot chase that ended with their capture. On Tuesday, the prosecution plans to formally indict them on charges including violations of state sovereignty at the border and will request to extend their detention until the conclusion of legal proceedings.
