Beitar Jerusalem Targets Cameroonian Midfielder Danl Dongamo for 2026/27 Season

Beitar Jerusalem is actively preparing for the 2026/27 season with ambitions to compete for the championship after falling short last year. As part of their squad strengthening efforts, the club has shown interest in Cameroonian midfielder Danl Dongamo, who last played for Romanian side Petrolul Ploiești. Dongamo, 25, became a free agent in early June after his contract ended with Petrolul Ploiești, where he made 32 appearances last season, scoring one goal and providing two assists.

According to reports from AfricaFoot, Beitar Jerusalem has already contacted Dongamo's representatives and is engaged in discussions, with a formal offer expected soon. However, Beitar is not the only club pursuing the midfielder; Serbian club Mladost Lučani and Portuguese team Nacional have also submitted official offers. Dongamo's decision on his next club is anticipated shortly.

Dongamo began his career in Cameroon and has played in Latvia, Armenia, and Romania. Despite the reported interest, Beitar Jerusalem has stated that they have not officially approached any foreign players yet and are currently evaluating various candidates. Nonetheless, Dongamo remains a top target on their list as they seek to bolster their squad for the upcoming season.
