Beitar Jerusalem Targets Cameroonian Midfielder Danl Dongamo for 2026/27 Season

Beitar Jerusalem is actively preparing for the 2026/27 season with ambitions to compete for the championship after falling short last year. As part of their squad strengthening efforts, the club has shown interest in Cameroonian midfielder Danl Dongamo, who last played for Romanian side Petrolul Ploiești. Dongamo, 25, became a free agent in early June after his contract with Petrolul Ploiești ended.

According to AfricaFoot, Beitar Jerusalem has already contacted Dongamo's representatives and is engaged in discussions, with a formal offer expected soon. However, Beitar is not the only club pursuing the midfielder; Serbian club Mladost Lučani and Portuguese team Nacional have also submitted official proposals. Dongamo's decision on his next club is anticipated shortly amid this competition.

Dongamo began his career in Cameroon and has since played in Latvia, Armenia, and Romania. Last season, he made 32 appearances for Petrolul Ploiești across all competitions, scoring one goal and providing two assists. Despite media reports, Beitar Jerusalem officials state they have not yet approached any foreign players directly but are reviewing various profiles, with Dongamo reportedly high on their list of targets.
