Relative of Murdered Leah Malka Criticizes Authorities for Ignoring Threats Before Fatal Car Bombing

Tom Nisani, cousin of Leah Malka who was killed in a car bombing on the Ayalon Highway, spoke in an interview with ynet about the recent release to house arrest of her ex-partner, Chen Cohen, who is suspected of the crime. Nisani revealed that the threats against Malka had begun months earlier, with explicit death threats made in March, while the murder occurred in June. He emphasized that the family had warned authorities that something bad was going to happen, but their concerns were dismissed. Nisani also noted that on the morning of the attack, Cohen did not check on their child at kindergarten, and Malka could have been in the car with the child at the time of the explosion. He expressed alarm that if the authorities allow such situations to continue, Cohen might gain custody of the child.
