Indian Influencer's Home Burglarized After Flaunting Wealth on Social Media
Rachna Gorjar, an Indian social media influencer from Shibpuri district in Madhya Pradesh with nearly 100,000 followers, was robbed at her home after posting videos showcasing her jewelry, cash, and luxurious lifestyle. The break-in occurred late at night while Gorjar and her family were asleep. Several masked intruders entered the house, locked the family members in their rooms, and stole valuables including gold and silver jewelry, cash, and even a crate of soft drinks.
Gorjar and her husband discovered the break-in around 4 a.m. when they found their bedroom door locked. They called relatives nearby who helped free them. The stolen property is estimated to be worth between 800,000 and 1,000,000 Indian rupees (approximately 8,000 to 10,500 USD). The burglars attempted to avoid identification by adjusting the angles of the home security cameras to obscure their faces.
Police are investigating the incident and reviewing the remaining security footage to identify the suspects. A key line of inquiry is whether Gorjar's recent social media posts displaying her wealth made her a target for the robbery. Authorities continue to probe the case as they seek to apprehend those responsible.
