Israeli Real Estate Couple Faces Armed Robbery in Bali Villa
Mira Dorenbosh, an Israeli real estate entrepreneur with over 72,000 Instagram followers, and her husband Jamie experienced a terrifying robbery during their vacation in Bali. The couple was staying in a private villa in the popular tourist area of Canggu when, in the early morning, Jamie woke up to find a masked man dressed in black standing next to their bed. The intruder threatened them repeatedly, demanding Jamie's Rolex watch, which was not in the room. After failing to find the watch, the man fled with a Hermes bag belonging to Jamie by climbing over the villa's wall.
Dorenbosh shared the ordeal on Instagram, describing the fear of having a masked intruder so close while they slept. She noted the robber’s specific focus on the Rolex watch raised suspicions that the attack was not random and possibly involved prior knowledge. Although they have no proof, the couple wonders if someone with access to the villa leaked information about their valuables. They reported the incident to local police.
Following the event, Dorenbosh warned travelers, especially those staying in private villas in Bali, to be cautious about who has access to their accommodation and knowledge of their valuables. She emphasized that despite the trauma, they are safe and will provide more updates later. The incident sparked discussion among her followers, with some criticizing the display of luxury items on social media and others suspecting insider information helped the robber.
