Israeli Man Attacked and Robbed Near Qalqilya After Illegal Entry into Area A

Israeli police in the Ariel station of the Shomron region are investigating an incident involving a man in his 70s from the Sharon area who was attacked and robbed after illegally entering Area A near Qalqilya. The man reportedly walked to the Eliyahu crossing with injuries to his legs and reported that his vehicle was stolen near Qalqilya. According to his initial testimony, he entered the area to buy food, including a watermelon, when he was assaulted by several suspects who threw him onto the road and stole his car. He was subsequently taken to a hospital for medical treatment.

The police emphasized that despite the minor injuries, this is a serious case of illegal entry into Area A, which poses a real danger to life. The investigation is ongoing. Authorities also recalled that about a month ago, six Israelis were rescued from Jericho after renting a villa there, and on the same day, 23 Israelis were evacuated from an event in Nablus. The Shomron District Police and security agencies reiterated that entry into Area A is prohibited by law and constitutes a significant life risk.
