Air Seychelles Resumes Weekly Direct Flights Between Tel Aviv and Mahe Starting August
Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Seychelles, has officially announced it will resume direct flights between Tel Aviv, Israel, and Mahe, Seychelles, beginning August 20. The airline will operate one weekly flight in each direction, with departures from Tel Aviv on Thursdays at 04:50, arriving in Mahe at 12:10 local time. Return flights will depart Mahe on Wednesdays at 21:30, landing in Israel at 02:50. The flight duration is approximately 6 hours and 20 minutes.
This decision follows earlier uncertainty when Air Seychelles initially planned to restart flights in May but later canceled due to security concerns. In the interim, Spirit Productions announced it would operate weekly direct flights to Seychelles from late July using an Israeli carrier. Air Seychelles will use Airbus A320 aircraft for these routes, offering both economy and business classes, with tickets including a meal and 30 kg of checked baggage.
Passengers flying to Mahe will also have the option to continue to Mauritius or take frequent 20-minute domestic flights to Praslin Island. This resumption marks a significant step in restoring direct air connectivity between Israel and the Seychelles after months of disruption.
