Israeli Community Rallies to Furnish Home for Orphaned Daughters of Rabbi Moshe Sheinfeld
Following the sudden passing of Rabbi Moshe Sheinfeld, his widow and five young daughters were left in dire conditions in their cramped, dilapidated apartment in Bnei Brak. The apartment suffered from severe disrepair, including leaking pipes, exposed electrical wiring, peeling walls, and an unusable kitchen. In response, the Israeli community mobilized in a large-scale effort, raising emergency funds and involving the 'Vaad Harabbanim' committee and professionals to renovate the 50-square-meter apartment. Over several months, all infrastructure was replaced, new plumbing installed, a safe electrical panel set up, and the walls freshly painted, transforming the space into a livable home.
Despite the renovation, the apartment remains completely unfurnished, leaving the five orphaned sisters without basic necessities such as beds or a refrigerator. For nearly a year, the girls have been forced to move between relatives’ homes, lacking stability and a proper place to live. The eldest daughter has yet to celebrate her bat mitzvah, and the youngest is still an infant. The family urgently needs help to furnish the apartment so the girls can finally settle into their home and begin rebuilding their lives with dignity.
The campaign calls on the public to contribute to purchasing essential furniture and appliances, emphasizing that while the cost is overwhelming for the widowed mother, it is achievable through collective community support. The project highlights the unity and compassion of the Israeli people in times of crisis, aiming to complete the final step of restoring the family’s home and providing the orphaned children with a stable and loving environment.
