IDF and Shin Bet Kill Hamas Naval Police Commander in Central Gaza Strike

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet conducted a targeted strike in central Gaza on Friday, killing Mansour Sami Mahmoud Shahatot, the commander of Hamas's naval police in the central Gaza camps. Shahatot had recently been involved in planning terrorist operations against Israeli forces. Alongside him, two other commanders from Hamas's naval police, which operates under Hamas's military wing and directs attacks against the IDF and Israel, were also killed in the operation. The three militants were traveling in an armed vehicle, posing an immediate threat to IDF troops stationed in the Gaza Strip. The IDF Southern Command stated that its forces remain deployed in the area under the terms of the ceasefire agreement and will continue to act to neutralize any immediate threats.
