Noam Cohen, Pillar of Upper Galilee Basketball, Passes Away
Noam Cohen, a central figure in basketball in northern Israel for the past two decades, has passed away. The Hapoel "Rivolis" Upper Galilee club announced his death and expressed deep sorrow over the loss of a man who dedicated his life to educating and nurturing generations of children in the Upper Galilee region. Cohen was not only a coach and manager but also a mentor and a beloved community member who influenced thousands of players, coaches, and families with his dedication and humility.
The club described Cohen as more than a professional; he was a friend with a big heart who always offered support and encouragement unconditionally. His absence will be felt in every gym, training session, and corner of the basketball community in the Galilee. Cohen's funeral is scheduled for Sunday at 5:00 PM at the cemetery in Kibbutz Gushrim.
