Lebanese President Urges Trump to Pressure Israel to Withdraw from Southern Lebanon

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun conveyed to U.S. President Donald Trump his hope that Washington would help prevent violations of the framework agreement with Israel. During a phone call, Aoun emphasized the importance of ensuring that the commitments outlined in the agreement are fully implemented, particularly by pressuring Israel to withdraw from areas it occupies in southern Lebanon. The Lebanese presidency stated that Aoun assured Trump Lebanon would fulfill its responsibilities in implementing the framework agreement.
