Defense Minister Israel Katz spoke at the "Economic Campaign" conference of the National Bureau for Counter Terror Financing in the Defense Ministry and addressed the war against Iran. He said the Iranian regime chose to invest in terrorism rather than in improving the lives of its own citizens.
Katz warned that any dollar reaching Iran could end up flowing to Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis, and other terrorist proxies. On that basis, he argued that Israel should not be satisfied with the results achieved so far.
His remarks framed the Iran campaign as part of a wider economic and security effort to limit funding for groups aligned with Tehran. He did not announce any new policy, but stressed that the current achievements are not enough.
