Polish reports say Maccabi Tel Aviv target could cost a club-record fee
Polish media have reacted to Sport 5’s report that Maccabi Tel Aviv are interested in Stelios Andreou and say his club, Widzew Lodz, has already set its asking price. According to a report on sport-fm, the Polish side wants 4 million to 5 million euros for the transfer to go through.
If that fee is paid, Andreou would become the most expensive signing in Maccabi Tel Aviv history. The current club record belongs to Vidar Kjartansson, who cost 3.5 million euros.
The report also says negotiations are still at an early stage. Polish coverage quoted the view that “the momentum he is gaining shows Andreou may become one of the most talked-about names of the current summer transfer window.”
The article was published on June 25, 2026, at 12:18, and follows the earlier Sport 5 report about Andreou’s candidacy for Maccabi Tel Aviv.
