Maccabi Tel Aviv officially opened preparations for the 2026/27 season on Thursday morning by unveiling a new club crest and new kits for its 120th anniversary year. The event included club representatives, Puma, and first-team players.
Chief executive Jack Angelidis said the launch represented more than a design change. “Today we are celebrating a new shirt, but marking something bigger, 120 years of Maccabi,” he said. “This shirt symbolizes everything Maccabi has been over the past 120 years. It symbolizes continuity, and reminds us to keep moving forward and leading.”
Angelidis added that although the club has achieved many successes, “we do not live in the past,” and said the goals remain clear, to fight for the championship, compete for trophies, and continue representing Israel in Europe. He also said the club wants to start the season “on the right foot,” restore Maccabi to its natural place, and look like Maccabi not only in the new shirt but also in the way it plays, because “Maccabi is much more than a uniform, it is identity.”
Player Sai Abu Farchi said he hoped to score while wearing the new kit and wished the team a strong start and a season ending in celebration. He also praised Kenny, saying the signing has brought change and energy, and that the squad is happy to have him. The article was first published at 12:12 on 25 June 2026.
