Attorney Ayelet Hashachar Seydof, founder and head of the Mothers on the Front movement, lashed out in an interview with ynet's studio at ultra-Orthodox protesters who demonstrated on Thursday. She called them “an anarchist group that does not recognize the state,” and said, “We are allowing them to use freedom of speech, speech for what? These guys are criminals, they need to enlist.”
Seydof also argued that “every ultra-Orthodox protest has ended in tragedy” and said they have “no regard for human life.” She warned that if they do not “connect with reality” and understand that there are state laws and that the police will not restore order, “we will.”
She then issued a direct threat of retaliation, saying, “On Friday we will block Bnei Brak, blockages will be met with blockages.” The interview framed her remarks as a response to the previous day’s ultra-Orthodox protests and a promise of counter-blockades in the city.
