The IDF said it struck in the Khan Younis area two days ago and killed Adam Muhammad Ibrahim Abu Khdaid, a commander in the production arm of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror organization in Gaza.
According to the military, Abu Khdaid was responsible for infrastructure involved in attempts to manufacture weapons intended to harm IDF troops and Israeli civilians. The IDF said the strike was precise and was carried out after he was identified as an immediate threat to the forces.
The operation took place in Khan Younis in southern Gaza. The statement did not say whether anyone else was killed or wounded, and it did not provide further details on the target's role beyond his weapons-production responsibilities.
