Israeli police rescued an IDF soldier from the Palestinian town of Tarqumiyah in the Hebron district after security forces reported a man in IDF uniform who was found handcuffed in the middle of the town. The incident appears to have a criminal background, according to the initial assessment.
The soldier is described as an active-duty conscript from southern Israel. He was not armed when found, and officers transferred him to a safe location.
He was then questioned at the Hebron police station. The investigation is expected to be handed over to the Military Police Criminal Investigation Division, known as Matzah.
