Fight Breaks Out Between Drivers on Route 1 Near Latrun; Police Identify Suspect

A fight broke out between drivers on Route 1 near the Latrun interchange. Video from the scene showed a man attacking a Haredi passenger sitting inside a car, before a crowd quickly gathered, pushed him back, and struck him in return.

Police said Border Police officers from the Mateh Yehuda station were dispatched a short time ago after reports of a brawl and a crowd forming around the incident. When the forces arrived, they quickly separated those involved and restored public order.

In an initial check, police said the victim is a resident of Beit Shemesh. The suspect, a resident of Rishon LeZion, has been identified and will be summoned later today for questioning at the police station to clarify the circumstances of the case.
