Marble cake is described as one of Israel’s most beloved cakes, combining vanilla and chocolate flavors. The recipe is simple, suitable for hosting guests, breakfast, or serving with coffee.
The ingredients are 3 eggs, 1 cup of sugar, 3/4 cup of oil, 1 cup of orange juice, 2 cups of flour, 1 packet of baking powder, 1 packet of vanilla sugar, and 2 tablespoons of cocoa.
To make it, preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Mix the eggs and sugar until smooth, then add the oil and orange juice and continue mixing. Add the flour, baking powder, and vanilla sugar.
Pour most of the batter into a pan. Mix cocoa into the remaining batter, pour the chocolate batter over the light batter, and swirl it with a fork to create a marble pattern. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, until the cake turns golden.
