11 undocumented workers found hidden behind drywall at Beit Shemesh construction site
Police in Beit Shemesh found 11 undocumented Palestinian laborers hiding behind a specially built drywall partition at a construction site on Nahar HaYarden Street during a planned operation earlier this week. The site was being used to conceal them from security forces.
The suspects were detained by officers from the Beit Shemesh station, taken in for questioning, and later removed from the State of Israel. At the same time, Jerusalem District Deputy Commander, Brig. Gen. Ronen Ovadia, signed an administrative order to shut the construction site immediately for 30 days.
Beit Shemesh station commander Lt. Col. Eldad Peretz said,
